It’s a shame, I love Kim Stanley Robinson’s work but this is I’m afraid dire! The story itself is slow and plodding and I didn’t warm to any of the characters. Then there is all the narrators who’s voices I felt weren’t distinctive enough and strangely confused the story. The worst bit for me though is the unrelenting elevator music that plays over the top of the narrators voices. It’s a constant distraction that I don’t understand the need for. It may well just be me and others love it but I’ll be steering clear of “Bootrack” editions in the future.

This was the worst read ever! I have been listening to books for ages and I would not recommend this.
Firstly the use of multiple readers against a music backdrop was annoying . If I had wanted a play I would have downloaded one!
The main issue was the story itself. Oh God where do I start? It’s was a self absorbed stream of consciousness with little regard to creating an engaging story. Not my cup of tea - but hey- you might love it-
