Summary

Sometimes, the strangest things can happen, right on your doorstep.

When you find out your best friend and business partner is secretly sleeping with your wife, it may be time to move on.... From your job and your marriage.... Which is precisely what happened to Jamie Newgent.

A change of lifestyle is what’s needed, and a bachelor pad on the fourth floor of a jutting tower provides a new home, a fresh start, and a new chapter in his life.

Little does he know of the weird and wonderful journey he’s about to take, or the effects a temporal rift has on the building plumbing and his troublesome toaster.

He’s living in the middle of an anomaly sandwich, with a retro woman upstairs, and a feisty hippy downstairs. But will either of them become anything more than friends?

And, If it came down to it, would he be able to make the ultimate sacrifice to save a life:

Could he go back to an era before the internet and smartphones?

Give up your day job Adam Eccles

Time travel is one of my favorite genres, this is a good one, nicely paced, no horrific mind bending quantum incidents, and well narrated. Up there with Keith A Pearson and Shawn Inmon.

Enjoyable

I’m a huge fan of the time travel genre. What I enjoyed about this book was the simplified view on how changing events in time could work out. Entertaining and well narrated.

A great time travel story, interesting and likeable characters (for the most part), some nostalgia for those of us of a certain age and a feel good flow to the story. All topped off with excellent narration that keeps you engaged with the characters.

Looking forward to the next book from this author and narrator.

An Easy and Interesting Listen

This is the second book from this author I have read and it didn’t disappoint. Although the story was a little predictable and it was easy to guess where it was going, it was an entertaining listen and I did enjoy. The narrator tells the story really well and I feel reflects the words of the author in a way that feels genuine. It’s a really good match.

Great story - Great narration

This story immediately captured my attention and the smooth narration makes it so easy to listen too.
I believed in the characters, even though there is only one narrator, and could visualise them through the text and spoken word. I loved the story and would recommend this recording 100%
Now looking for others by the same author and by the same narrator.

What a brilliant find.

Love, love, loved it!

I had an inkling of what was going to happen with Molly from the minute Jamie met her, but this was just fabulous from start to finish anyway.
Time travel done differently, with lots of fun, twists & nostalgia along the way.
The characters are gorgeously brought to life, & despite it being a complete work of fiction (or is it?) it was somehow believable. The narration was good (if a little weird at times, but it fits the vibe).

A great, feel good book that compels you to keep listening instead of working - whoops!

Likeable characters

A little predictable in places but still an enjoyable story. Great characters who I was rooting for to find their happiness.
