Summary

Peace has been decades in the making, but chaos is just the press of a button away?

Jack Emery is happier than he has been in a long time. Nobody has shot at him or tried to blow him up for years, and he's learned to love the job he thought he'd hate: Special Advisor to the President of the United States?

But nothing can prepare Jack for the work to come. As America continues to heal from self-inflicted wounds, an ambitious President McGhinnist draws closer to achieving the impossible: peace between Israelis and Palestinians?

As the countdown to peace reaches zero, a desperate group of hardline Israelis invoke the Samson Option, a secret protocol that will eradicate the peace agreement and pave the way for the destruction of America and the Middle East?

Jack has learned the hard way that when a crisis knocks, you don't always get the chance to ignore it.

Thriller

I enjoyed the narration of Todd Menesses

This is an action packed and thrilling listening.
This story is primarily around Mid-East politics, where we see a ordinary guy being pushed into doing extraordinary things. It has a great plot, lots of action, suspense, twists and turns. The characters were great .

Scary world makes for Great story

I really enjoyed this book and never know quite what to expect from this author, other than a great book.

This time the hero Jack Emery has given up his reporting days and is an adviser to the president, which would have been good if only his boss wasn't trying to broker peace between Israel and Palestine. Jack soon finds out he has to save the world again but with the threat of a nuclear bomb, the body count raising, himself under gunfire and not knowing who to trust will he be able to succeed and keep the girl?

I think this is my favourite Jack book so far, as so much is going on it keeps you listening until the end.The narrator helps as he does a good job with all the different voices. Still not sure his voice of Jack is what I picture him looking like, but I would still recommend the series. If you like a bit more action ( as this is a political thriller) then I would recommend the authors Mitch Herron series.

Great Story! Great Narration!

Nations Divided by Steve P Vincent pulled me in from the very beginning. I so enjoy the Jack Emery stories. This is a thrilling listen that includes the threat of nuclear war and a potential peace treaty between Israel and Palestine. I loved how the author had new perspectives from different point of views on the peace between Israel and Palestine. Todd Menesses performed this book wonderfully. I could hear exactly who was speaking and I loved the accents. The twists in this book were brilliant, and the imagery was very vivid. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.
