Summary

Hamish DeLuca and Regina “Reggie” Van Buren have a new case—and this one could demand a price they’re not willing to pay.

Determined to make a life for herself, Reggie Van Buren bid goodbye to fine china and the man her parents expected her to marry and escaped to Boston. Girly 1940’s book

Women portrayed as over emotional perhaps the author perceives women of that era were soft and prone to obsequious devotion and tear prone love
There is much emphasis on this to cover a thin plot with out lying elements not tied
The narrator was blessed with a monotonous drawl and no allocation of different voices for different characters
