I had never heard of many of these women, and I learned a lot. It was interesting and inspiring.
But ... I didn't like the style so much, as if each person spoke directly to the listener, inviting you to come in, to sit down. That would be interesting for two or three stories, but after many stories in a similar style, it started to be repetitive and unnatural. Also, most of the voices sounded very similar. I couldn't forget that I was listening to an audiobook, and I think the best audibles take you to the middle of the story and make you forget that you are listening.
Also, this is difficult to explain, especially in a language that is not my native language, but ... audibles like this one, that talk a lot about how women are important and women are smart and women can do what men can do ... sometimes these audiobooks have the opposite effect of the goal. Of course, women are important and clever and capable. Focusing on this so much, as if it were new information, sometimes it seems like a step backward. But, maybe I'm too sensitive. I think an audiobook like this would be more powerful if it focused more on the interesting details of their extraordinary lives, giving us unforgettable stories. We would understand the subtle message that women are important and clever and capable without the sermon. But ... that's just my opinion.
It is interesting, with many important and admirable figures. I recommend that you read slowly, one story at a time. Maybe the problems I mentioned would go away.
Beautiful audiobook

Obviously, all driven by excessive male egos, and a soupçon of belief. Hourly History wraps it all up into a neat audible.
Interesting Content to listen.
