Summary

She shifts for the first time on the day of her escape.

After a decade of captivity, Darcy MacCormac escapes the corrupt, clandestine organization called the Scythe, leaving family and friends behind. She must find a way to rescue them. Discovered by other shifters, the brand-new cougar gets two mentors. Blademage Gawain is an easygoing blacksmith with a steel-hard core. His brother, Owen, is a deadly warrior. Grumpy. Rude. And he doesn’t like her.

They aren’t the mates she’d dreamed of - they’re more.

Powerful, dominating Owen protects the clan - especially the weak - and the only remnant of an abused childhood is his avoidance of females. Now he has to mentor one? Although Gawain soon falls for the dauntless little cat, Owen knows better than to lose his head. But Darcy has a gift for repairing everything...including damaged hearts.

Love isn’t in her destiny.

In the brothers’ arms, Darcy finds safety. Comfort. And love. But however much she longs for a future with Owen and Gawain, her people need her. Somehow, she must find the courage and skills to save them, even if the attempt demands her life.

Matchmaker Callen is at it Again

Thanks to Cherise Sinclair for this addition to The Wild Hunt Legacy. It is fun listening to the woman avoiding Owen and his brother Gawain fall in love with newly escaped from captivity, Darcy.

As always this book has bits of humor sprinkled in with the more serious issues in the story and awesome sexy times.

Noah Michael Levine & Erin DeWard narrating in the Duet style (Noah does all the male parts and Erin does all the female parts) add much to this wonderful tale.

Loved this book

Gawain , Owen, and Darcy‘s story is fantastic I am so happy after all of their awful pasts that they were able to find such a wonderful loving life together. So glad to see Callum, Alec, and Vickys Story update. The narrator of the story did a fantastic job bringing it to life. Can’t wait for the next in the series.

paranormal awesomeness

Wow this book was great. I love to reunite with the townspeople of Cold Creak but Darcy is such a great new character to add to the mix. I am hoping her two brothers are next and are mated to Heather.
if you are looking for a paranormal adventure take a chance on this collection!!

Very Enjoyable

I love this series and can't wait for #5 to come to audio!

In this book, we meet Darcy, who has been held captive for a decade or more but finally escapes and makes it to Cold Creek to get help for the rest of her village. I loved the way this story moved, the way the author brought in the characters from previous books (all of whom had to work together to solve this problem), and the sexy relationship between Darcy and her two cat shifters.

My favorite thing about Cherise Sinclair is the way she moves me to feel strongly about her characters. She knows how to use injustice to create sharp stings, as well as how to make the embrace of love bittersweet for those who aren't quite ready to accept it.

My one reservation about this book -- this whole series -- is the full moon mating thing every unmated shifter has to do.The idea of being forced to open myself to pregnancy (likely TRIPLETS) without a mate or mates to support me feels desperately unfair. To make it worse, there's this constant criticism of selfish, lazy women by the male characters (gold diggers) and all I can think is that if I had to birth a litter, I'd like some financial stability, too. These men just get to go to the full moon events, have sex, and then walk away with no strings but that's just not how it is for the women. Shouldn't those men have to support the single mothers their system is designed to create? It's very bizarre. And once again in this book, the heroine doesn't quite make it to a full moon event, which just leaves me feeling like if it were such a good idea, why do we have to keep finding ways for the MC to avoid them?
