Short and too the point

A great story from medival times. I liked also the reader but sometimes he makes some strange stops.

BRILLIANT!

A classy production and no mistake. The Naxos team have taken an axe to the legends of Camelot and really butchered them in order to make them more child friendly and get the whole thing down to a couple of hours. In doing so they have got rid of all the boring stuff, made Arthur a lot more sympathetic, developed some proper baddies and given the whole thing a marvelous flow that it often lacks. The end result is a brilliantly epic and gripping take on the stories, and I wanted to listen again the minute it finished. Sean Bean's reading is perfect and the atmospheric use of classical music is the icing on the cake. Don't be put off by the target audience being 8 - 13 year olds, this is a truly great listening expireience.

Beautiful Retelling

I loved this version of the King Arthur story. The music really added to it, and the reader was perfect.

Wonderfully dramatic

I love the stories of King Arthur and his knights so so much. So does my younger brother Tasgall. This audiobook is a wonderful era telling; but the reader is the best of all. He is so dramatic. The whole audiobook is dramatic and suspenseful, but also beautifully told and not too fast moving. My only criticism is that it does not di scribe Guinevere in as much detail as I would have liked, but you'll probably never get a book that describes her as much as I would like!

My seven year old son and I enjoyed listening to this. My only criticism is that the sound was a bit muffled.

nice, easy to listen and interesting stories

Would you listen to King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table again? Why?

Yes and actually I'm now listen to it again. The backgroud music fit the story well and it's just enjoyable. Also the words using are kind of easy. As English is not my first language, I can't get the language in many other books and becoming tired quickly. This book, however, really make me feel concentrated and I get most parts of the story.

What did you like best about this story?

First part when Arthur stay near the river, feeling unfair that Kay will become a knight while he won't, and Merlin come and call his name, and he ask Merlin if Merlin know his parents. Second part when Merlin ask him for the sword excarliba (Sorry I don't know how to spell that word, I mean the sword form the lake), which part do Arthur like more, the blade or the scabbard, and tell him the sword should be return before his death; and the third part when Arthur nearly deas and ask a knight whose name's Bedivire (sorry again for don't know how to spell) throw the sword to the lake, and that takes the knight 3 times to finish the require. I find these parts impressive.

What does Sean Bean bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I start listening this book as a before-sleeping story, but later just find it too interesting to let me sleep. Even if I don't have a high level of English knowledge I still enjoy it. I recomend this book to anyone love stories and find English kind of hard...

Beautifully telling of a familiar tale

I had forgotten the chronology of the adventures of Arthur & Camelot. There are so many versions in my head. But this was a beautiful reading and Sean Bean has such a great voice. I loved it. I wished it was longer.

Excellent

My boys (5 and 7) loved this book almost as much as I did. Read by a young Sean Bean, he puts great feeling into the ancient tales of chivalry and courage.

King Arthur.

I must say I loved the read Sean Bean read it well? ,he made it extremely exciting yet because of his nothen accent this made it even more interesting .I find it great listing tool read the book my self film but having others read is soothing relaxing and you feel serenity in one self.
