Summary

Jaguin is one of the finest trackers on Valdier, where females are few and true mates almost non-existent. He has never been successful at finding his true mate, and that failure is eating away at him and his dragon. Even his symbiot is feeling the strain as the centuries crawl by with no end to the emptiness gnawing away at them. But hope flares with the discovery of a species that is compatible with their own.

Jaguin is rewarded for his help in tracking one of the Lord's stubborn females with the promise of a chance to find his own true mate on the planet called Earth.

Sara Wilson is a botanist working with Columbiana University. Her love for plants and their potential for medicinal uses consume her life. She feels confident she is on the verge of a breakthrough when she is kidnapped by a cartel boss with revenge on his mind - a revenge that not only comes close to taking her life, but that will change it forever.

After a fruitless search for his mate, Jaguin accepts one last assignment to guard Lord Creon's mate, Carmen, during a mission to seek justice against the man who brutally murdered her husband back on Earth. Instead, he finds his true mate in the man's cruel clutches, barely clinging to life. His only thought is to spirit her away, where he and his symbiot can heal her and his dragon can claim her.

The scars left during her captivity run deep inside Sara as she struggles to come to terms with her new life. She is no longer on Earth, but the fear and terror still haunt her. She needs time to discover who she is again and whether this is a life she can accept.

Can Jaguin's love heal the scars on the inside, or will his true mate believe she has traded one monster for another?

JAGUIN AND SARA - SURVIRAL OF THE HEARTS!

Would you consider the audio edition of Jaguin’s Love to be better than the print version?

AS I ONLY HAVE AUDIO.....THEN YES.

What other book might you compare Jaguin’s Love to and why?

ALL THE DRAGON LORDS OF VALDIER BOOKS. ALWAYS EXCITING AND HEARTFELT TENDER MOMENTS.

Which scene was your favorite?

WELL THERE WERE MANY, BUT THE ONE I LOVED MOST WAS WHEN SARA TURNED INTO HER DRAGON FOR THE FIRST TIME. I ALSO LOVED JAGUIN'S MOTHER.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES, I AM AFRAID THEY ALL ARE. BUT LIFE HAS A WAY OF SAYING NO WAY JOSE!

Any additional comments?

S.E. SMITH - KEEP THOSE STORIES COMING!!

True Mates..She Is Comfortable With His Dragon First

Book 8, Carmen’s book gives you a clearer picture on the background of how Jaguin meets his true mate Sara...Sara is being tortured by the man who caused Carmen her loss and pain. Sara is a solitary woman who has had a difficult life and upon being saved by the Valdier’s suffers PTSD. She is close to another survivor, Emma. Taken to Valdier she is wooed by Joaquin who has neared the end of his ability to live without his true mate..and had given up. We get to revisit some of the other couples from previous books and view the stories from different angles. I am so entertained by each story..provided by a fantastic narrator. Wish this series could keep going...I’m gobbling up each audio book in the Romance package that I can. Please keep them coming!

Female lead just not likable. 😔

I have really enjoyed all of Susan Smiths Dragon Lords stories. The world building is complex and rich. The characters deep and evolved. But the female lead in this story, was just not easy to identify with. She goes through a terrible trauma. Captured and tortured she spends most of the book wrapped up in herself, which is probably reasonable but we aren’t really given enough of what she was feeling to build an emotional connection with her and she comes off feeling selfish instead of vulnerable. I liked the hero but he was no Alpha. I think she desperately needed an alpha. We are nine books into this series, you’d think by now one of the girls would have written a “Welcome to Valdier: Everything you need to know to hook up with your Dragon Lord” manual; because really the lack of communication plot focus is getting tired. Sorry Susan, this is the first one of your books that left me cold. But Susan Smith is so good I will still not hesitate to buy the next book she releases. One other thing, the book should probably come with a disclaimer as an ER Nurse I’m begging you please don’t try the poison plant trick at the end of the book just come on into the ER. Let us figure it out. That’s why we’re there.

love this series! Cliffhangers galore!

I fell in love with this series from the beginning and I can’t tell you how much my curiosity And need to know what happens next has kept me coming back even for the other series that have branched off series from the original to the Serafin and Kurazin Series. As always S.E Smith brought me back time and time again to know what has happened next to all the different characters And the how they will play into the next chapter of their series

IT was a good book

This was the second time I read this book. Or I should say the first time I read and the second I listened to it. I would like to answer the questions you asked the first in this review of Jaquin's love. I have read all of the books in this series and have loved each one. All unique and great in their stories. To answer the first question, I most definitely would read the next book in this series. And can't wait for, I hope will be the book about the first set of twins. As far as David Brenin as the narrator he is good for male role but the female in this book was not very good. It got better towards the end though. The second question, no definitely did not turn me off from reading more in this genre. The third question, yes I would listen to David again , but not if the female has an accent. He over did the accent for most of the book accept towards the end he got better. I would not cut any scenes, but maybe change the scene when they first made love. When he first bit her, then she all of sudden threw him on his back and was the aggressor, just seemed seemed wrong . I only say this because of her background, and what had happened to her. The other scene I would change was the time she offered to give him a lap dance, I would have taken that part out. But overall I loved both characters and the overall story line, but the story seemed to be too rushed. I can't get enough of the three worlds you brought together, and waiting, trying to be patient, for the next book.

great story

very good story, only annoyance is where author relayed a scene in heroine's point of view and then did same scene, conversation, etc. in hero's point of view. totally unnecessary. all author needed was to switch viewpoint in same scene.
