About this listen

From two guys who’ve never written a book comes the definitive post-not-apocalypse comedy about survival and relationships in a time when the world didn’t end.

Dave and Melanie thought an asteroid was going to destroy the planet. For a full seven weeks, so did everyone else on Earth. But then, it missed. Now, along with the rest of humanity, Dave and Melanie have to deal with the choices they made during “The Countdown” and figure out if there are any parts of their old life worth hanging on to after “The Miss”.

The passing asteroid left society in shambles with gas as the only reliable currency, NASA without a single employee, and local bars stocked with deadly homemade hooch, but at least, it’s not the end of the world.

Please note: Like any good false apocalypse comedy, It’s Not the End of the World contains mature themes and language that may be most appropriate for listeners 17 and older.

Clint Gage really is an excellent narrator and it is nice to have some familair voices from late 00s / early 10s internet culture (soren and katy from cracked are particular highlights).

Story is a fresh enough take on the post apocalyptic genre by not actually having the apocalypse in the first place.

Main characters can be a little bit irritating, however the vignettes between the main story chapters are generally a lot of fun!
