栄養価が高くヘルシーな鶏肉は、健康や美容によいのも人気の秘密。牛肉や豚肉とは異なり、味の淡白さが日本人の口に合うともいわれています。
そのためか、鶏料理の種類は多彩。焼き鳥を筆頭に、水炊きや唐揚げ、親子丼、チキン南蛮など、さまざまな料理に使用されています。
最近では「地鶏」や「銘柄鶏」など、鶏の品種や育成法などにこだわった鶏料理専門店も増えています。
