A blistering contemporary thriller with a real message for our polarised times from Abir Mukherjee, the award-winning author of the Wyndham and Banerjee series.

The clock is ticking. Who will find them first?

The epic and thrilling story of two parents thrown together to stop their children from committing an unthinkable crime.

A missing daughter. Suspected of plotting a terror attack in the US.

A father arrested. Police storm Heathrow Airport to bring him in for questioning about his daughter.

A terrifying connection. In Florida, a mother discovers a link between her son and the missing girl, fearing they have been radicalised.

Hunted. On the run from the authorities, the two parents are thrown together to find their children before the FBI does and more lives are lost.

For fans of Adrian McKinty's The Chain and Clare Mackintosh's Hostage, this blockbuster contemporary thriller will turn your world on its head.

Critic reviews

An irresistible blend of high-octane thriller plot, nuanced characterisation and smart writing. Not to be missed!
A firecracker of fiction. Incendiary, devastating, wildly exciting. Strap yourself in and brace for the ride
...epic, thrilling, tragic and humane. Like 24 meets Homeland with heart. And damn the writing is excellent
HUNTED is a damn exciting read. It’s also a brave book. Nothing quite like it has been published before
A pretty much flawless thriller, HUNTED works on every level imaginable. Terrific characters are subtly and mercilessly pushed along by a plot as propulsive as it is constantly surprising.
'Hunted is a phenomenal achievement, with its sizeable cast of memorable characters, flawless juggling of multiple storylines, and a political dimension that makes it more than pacey entertainment.'
If you're looking for a kick-ass, pedal-to-the-metal thriller you need HUNTED by the supremely talented Abir Mukherjee
A rip-roaring, bang-up-to-date political thriller that grabs you from the first pages and never lets go. Twists you won't see coming, nail-biting suspense and finely drawn characters that will linger long after reading. Unmissable
A thought-provoking, intriguingly taut, propulsive and highly original thriller (Steph McGovern)
Hunted is a mature, intelligent thriller written with forensic skill and observation. This irresistible spiderweb of twisting fates moves seamlessly from the personal to the global. I was swept along on an epic and fast-moving adventure, crafted with insight, empathy and devastating attention to detail. Mukherjee has put the world in a book and I dare anyone to put it down. Stunning

Several narrators offering several character POVs is all very well, but HUNTED suffers from varying sound quality throughout. This audiobook would be much improved had the actors all been recorded to the same standard.

Poor Production Distracts From Tense Thriller

A thriller that gives voice to those impacted by United States wars, participants in them, victims and those challenging. Very moving

Terrific change of direction with this new story from Abir Mukherjee

I was completely hooked from start to finish. I’m a new to audible but my wife insisted I listen to it. I found the narrators utterly absorbing. How they swap and change accents so seamlessly incredible. If you’re looking to be enticed by plot twists galore then look no further. When does the sequel come out?

Wow…!

A fast paced thriller with many twists and turns. I couldn’t wait to get to the end to discover if the parents of the main characters, who had crossed the Atlantic to find their children, who had been groomed to take part in acts of terrorism. It is a chase across country,
Racing to get ahead of the FBI yet not knowing who is actually behind a plot to assassinate two Presidential candidates which will falsely blame Muslim terrorists for political gain.

A fast paced thriller

Many of the voices were annoying. Too depressing and serious - no light moments - annoying characters

The end was definitely unsatisfactory - maybe reading it might have been better - but it was a convoluted story to listen to
