Summary

Former elite Federation soldier, now turned space pirate, Jackson Burke has done his best to turn his life around - for the better. He isn't prepared when fate leaves a woman's safety totally in his hands. Since heroes don't leave a damsel in distress - and despite being outlaw pirates - the crew considers themselves the good guys, so Jackson assumes responsibility for the beauty.

It’s hard enough that his ship is held together by rust and sheer will, now he's got to keep this good-guy thing straight and not give in to the urges the sassy female brings out in him. Raisa is everything a man could want, and for some reason, she seems to like him, rough edges and all, but he's on the Federation's wanted list, and they aren't known to back down.

Nice story

Entertaining and well-paced story. Humor, suspense, and an enjoyable storyline make for a great listen. Characters are likable and interesting. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Another Great Addition to the Series

Michelle M Pillow has done it again and created yet another fun and entertaining addition to the Space Lords series. Plenty of action, twists and turns and a little bit of snarky wit from Rick along the way! Looking forward to Rick’s story next!

Strongly Written

Michelle’s writing has always intrigued me, she writes characters that seem so realistic even with the crazy situations she puts them in. These books are standalone but they give so much more when the rest if the books are listened to as well. The whole book had me on edge in the best way wondering what was going to happen next and wondering how the characters would get out of the next situation. Absolutely loved this book

What an adventure!

This was a non-stop action book with a perfect blend of humour and suspense.
It's always a joy to read anything by this author and I particularly enjoy this oddly mismatched space pirates. They were previously cursed due to Rick and his blabber mouth insulting a powerful ghost, but actually it seems to have worked out pretty well for the majority of the crew because love has most certainly found a way ! Then all their other bad luck struck. Now Jackson, trying to stay out of sight of the Military Federation who wants him back, brought more trouble to them by assuming responsibility for this female stranger! I highly recommend these stories in order, but you can listen than as standalone. Each story builds on each other but are wonderful stories in their own right. Each character is amazing and builds up with every story in the series. I fall more and more in love with this group with every book and every page. They are hilarious and the steam between the main characters never disappoints. I can't stop saying how fun these guys are! Never. a dull moment with these space pirates.

Earth Maiden Not, More of an Earth Angel

His Earth Maiden is Jackson Burke's story. Jackson is a wanted man by the Federation. The only conclusion, he could up with, is that the Federation wants him back because of his elite skills. This time the Federation recruits didn't back down and because of it, Jackson was to remain in hiding on the ship.

Raisa Lovell is likely to be alive after being robbed and buried alive. When she tried to steal back her molecular gastro-spectrometer, she was discovered by her attackers and ended up being saved by Jackson.

Now Jackson and his fellow crew members have to avoided Federation and at the same time tried to figure out what is on their new barely functional spaceship. It is a good story of Jackson and Raisa's romance in trying to break the curse but the story is a bit predictable to me.

There is a bit of a tear breaker but love still wins the day for both the hero and heroine.

I still love Michael Ferraiuolo's narration of the story. He is the right person as a narrator for this series.

I was given this audiobook by the author and have volunteer to write an unbiased review of this book. I was not compensated or influence in any way for writing this review.

Another Great Addition to the Series

Once again we have a great collaboration between author and narrator in this latest addition to the series that was well written with characters that were endearing and both the story line and characters were brought to life wonderfully by this narrator. A fantastic job by both. A joy to both read and listen to.

I received an ARC of both the book and audiobook and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Fantastic addition to the series

This is Jackson & Raisa's story and what a wild spaceship ride it was.Who would have thought that rummaging for parts could lead to your death? Certainly not Raisa, but that's what almost happened. As for Jackson, the honorable space pirate, what luck that he vows to protect Raisa & he finally found his beloved mate.
This installment had my emotions on a turbulent spaceship ride through the skies. Twist, turns & a great fast pace.
Excellent audiobook and the narration was top notch as usual.
I highly recommend this audiobook & the whole series.

Jackson finally gets his turn.

Another member of the ship takes on the love curse. Jackson has been a rock through the other books and despite being hunted by the Federation his heart of gold sends him out of hiding to help a damsel in distress. Well a mouthy one who gives him a run for his money. She’s straight forward and hard head and I loved the fit of these two. All the stories have been so different but vibe so well for these pirates of deep space. The narrator does a wonderful job keeping the characters from previous books the same as well as in adding in the new. Quite an enjoyable little listen

Space pirates

In the Quirilixen world, we finally get Jackson’s story. The broody, and muscled up body guard. He has been a interesting character throughout the series so I was happy to finally get to his story in his POV. Jackson has been hiding from
the people that want him captured and so far he’s been able to evade them till he helps Raisa. Is the risk worth it? Pick up the book to find out! It was a entertaining and intense plot. We discover a few things along the way and I feel that it unites the crew even closer.
The narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo did a wonderful job portraying the characters. The variety of voices and inflections was great!

Ahhhh! So good!

I love it! Could Jackson's, the strong and silent qnd silent type, be destined to be with a spunky and headstrong woman? This book has so many layers of plot! It sucks you in and you can't stop listening. This series just gets better with each book!

An Earthy Good tale

Overall I found this to be a good tale. Jackson rescues Raisa after she is ambushed by thieves and she steals back her machine. However, a complication has arisen and the Federation wants Jackson leading them and the crew into danger when he is spotted. All sorts of mayhem and danger ensues in a rollercoaster ride in space in a crippled ship.
This, the 4th in the series is every bit as good as the previous books and a really good 'read'.
The narrator is consistent across all the tales with his 'voices' and conveys the drama and emotions well.
A well conceived tale that I recommend highly
