This is a book I, like many others, have been waiting for.
It is just great. Different somewhat from the previous book with one strong story thread and not many side threads, but all the better for that. Dennis has obviously taken the time to produce a good, to me, well written story. Lots of sci-fi history references and some modern as will.
I do think you have to have read the previous books to get the full benefit but it is stand alone whilst the previous 3 were really one long book.

Hope there is another Bobiverse to come😁

I was concerned that this book wouldn't live up to my memories of the previous ones however I need not have. absolutely amazing as always, makes me wish I could join the bobs!

I've read the first 3 books several times and this was just as good as any of them. If not more so. So many clenching then wonderful then fascinating moments!
Love the direction of the story and keep wondering what will happen next if the series continues. There are so many possibilities with the plot and universe of this.

When I saw a new book being released in the series I was concerned, there’s a worry with some of the audible original science fiction that it becomes bland as it just looks for a way to find more drama to justify its existence.

This book however avoids that trap and succeeds on hooking you in and telling the story with so much moral ambiguity and potential heart ache but also humour. I love this series and can’t wait for the next instalment

I don't have the words to express howmuch I loved this book and indeed this series. The writing was mesmerising, the plot was intereging with just the right amount of science and tech, cultural references, politics and heart. The narration by Ray is as always spot on and brings Dennis's work to life. Easily one of my favourite audiobooks .
