Summary

He is ice cold.

Both his personality and his skin. When his icy gaze lands on me it freezes me temporarily, but the first time he touches me....

Sparks fly.

Not the romantic kind. The tattoos on his pale skin illuminate and they are brighter than the Northern Lights. And then something in his eyes changes, making him less callous, less cold.

And making me hot.

He says he needs me for something important, something monumental, but I'm not easily swayed. Even if he's gorgeous and I do need his help.

I guess we'll see if I can melt his heart before he chills me to the point of no return.

Good short story

Okay read, but by means epic. I would suggest this story to those looking for a pallet cleaner between series.

Ok

It was a typical super hero story with the assist of a damsel in distress. Glacier is a pretty cool character (no pun intended). Narrators were ok, Glacier’s voice sounded like Davy Jones of the Monkeys fame.

Awful. Published rough draft without finishing it.

This is awful. The idea behind the story is good, even the plot, but it was all wasted by the author not finishing the writing! It’s a very sparse rough draft. No character development. No relationship development. It just tells what happens with no artistry to the language, and the bare bones of a story. It needed to be flushed out with many more details added, as well as character and relationship development created. There is no logical reason for them to suddenly be in love after only three days of knowing each other, having sex once, and suddenly all is hearts and roses. The timeline needed to be stretched out so they have time to actually interact, get to know each other, develop as individuals and for their relationship to develop and for love to actually grow. Spoiler, but not surprising, she’s pregnant on the third day - just to add it in like a box to be checked. Maybe if the last part was set even a month in their future it might not have felt so bizarre, even if it’s a half-alien pregnancy. Her lax attitude towards the other alien men’s comments about abducting and claiming their mates is a little offensive, too. She really ought to have stood up to them a bit more, telling them to treat the women with respect. She said it once, they ignore her and keep talking like Neanderthals about women, and she ignores it. WTH? The performance was fine. Nothing spectacular but not too bad. The dialogue is a bit stunted, but that’s more a problem of how it is written, not how it is performed.

i hate that I even tried

I was really intrigued since it has a lot of the qualities I like in a book, post apocalyptic, aliens, romance.. but the plot just wasn't there and the narrators were hard to listen to. I really want to like this book, but if you are looking for something with a simple plot and don't mind the accents, then by all means try this.

Sigh

I’m all for strong heroine but Hazel is beyond annoying, the author should have put a foot stomp in the story while she had tantrum of the dumbest shit.
