Summary
Galaxy's Edge contains Legionnaire through to the end of Galactic Outlaws.
On the edge of the galaxy, a diplomatic mission to an alien planet takes a turn when the Legionnaires, an elite special fighting force, find themselves ambushed and stranded behind enemy lines. They struggle to survive under siege, waiting on a rescue that might never come.
In the seedy starport of Ackabar, a young girl searches the crime-ridden gutters to avenge her father's murder; not far away, a double-dealing legionniare-turned-smuggler hunts an epic payday; and somewhere along the outer galaxy, a mysterious bounty hunter lies in wait.
Galaxy's Edge combines sleek starfighters, exotic aliens, loyal bots, blasters, scoundrels, heroes, and powerful enemies in a thrilling adventure that will take you back to that magic place from a long time ago.

Good story similar to Star Wars.
Very well narrated story which is similar to Star Wars. Enjoyable. I'll look for the next episode.

Epic.
An epic story masterfully told. The only reproach a will make is the second story that is not consistent with the time line and jumps way too much forward. That story should be after other following parts of the narration because there's too much events between kublar and the galaxy outlaws. This choice of succession really doesn't make a sense.

Takes a little patience but the reward is worth it
i almost stopped after an hour or so thinking this was all too predictable but the overwhelmingly positive reviews made me continue and it was worth it!
As always R.C. Bray is awesome in his performance in giving real depth and affinity to even the more questionable characters.
I am hooked and it gives me something to listen to while waiting for the next Expeditionary Force book (essential listening!!)

Great stories, totally engaging
I'll start by adding the R. C. Bray kudos here. Amazing as ever. One of the best narrators on the planet.
Onto the stories (there are two).
Both were just the right balance of depth and pace. Great storytelling in both. It was clear form the outset these were part of an epic (and I am writing this while listening to Part 5!). I note that some reviewers were confused by the two separate stories. I almost didn't purchase these because I read those reviews. Ignore that. The stories are directly linked in future parts.
The characters were well rounded, the backstory hinted at. This isn's simply the specifics around this story, but the whole galaxy. This feels like an incredibly well-prepared storyline with a great deal more to come.
Fantastic!

Seems like a great start!
I came to this series chasing RC Bray performances with a taste for military sci-fi through Podium. I’m really glad I gave this a go as it’s fun and good action. Lots of reviews seem disappointed or confused that there are two books here with different themes and perspectives but I like it - I’m guessing it’s a large series and we’re going on a journey that weaves different stories together- RC as engaging as ever and some great characters- I’m strapped in and hoping for a decent wild ride!!

Brilliant military sci-fi
High class military sci-fi action. This is an interesting set, Legionnaire book one is a basic marines vs aliens shoot 'Em up, not a huge amount of character development but a action packed read. Book 2 is set a few years later and has lots of character backstory and development and less but still high class action sequences, and wow what an ending, leading right into the next one. A little bit of a Star Wars clone with a lovable rogue pilot, a ancient warrior, a rescued princess, alien co-pilot and special powers but it still works, and all narrated by R C Bray what more needs to be said. Brilliant.

not great, but not terrible
felt this would be better as an actual book, the character voices sound too similar. hard to get into but the end of the book feels like he knows where to take the story, which is a feeling you dont get until an hour from the end. might give the next one a go but i hope the writing is more consistent around a tew characters than what every tom dick and harry are doing adding nothing to the actual story
