This book was my first experience with audiobook. I thoroughly enjoyed the book's story and was hoping for a HEA for the main female lead, I also thought all of the character in this book are really great.

A STORY OF FINDING ONESELF BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE
I rated this audiobook a 3.5
A story of mental and almost physical abuse. Lily has put up with the abuse and turns to an old friend who has always wanted her. Due to circumstances beyond their control things get out of hand and they become involved. This would have been a better book to listen to if the narrator hadn’t sounded like she had emotions. The only time she came across convincingly was when she did Chris’s voice.

Friends to lovers
This short is packed with passion and love, but the underlying story is much darker. Lilly is living with her alcoholic husband. There is no love lost, he is abusive and horrible to her. When her old co-worker Sean comes back into the picture, their attraction sizzles, and we see a budding relationship coming. But what will she do? This story has some very interesting twists, not only with Lilly's marriage, but I found her mother to be quite intuitive, It's fast paced and steamy. I would have liked a little more backstory, but found the story well developed and enjoyable. Rachelle Stone does a good job with the narration.
