I greci avevano l'agora, i romani avevano il forum, ma a differenza dell'agora, il foro subì una trasformazione nel tempo, che lo portò, da piazza, a diventare un quartiere vero e proprio, cresciuto in maniera armoniosa e ordinata, secondo un piano urbanistico prestabilito. Sono una città dentro la città. La Roma più antica nel cuore della Roma di oggi.
