Loved this and read with total elegance

Setting this in the 1950s at the beginning of Bond’s career made for a story as good as any Fleming.
Excellent in every way

Wonderful listen

This version is no different. The characters are all classic Bond villains, perfectly drawn for your imagination, and there's all the glamour you would expect from a novel set in the south of France in the 1950's, and I enjoyed the fact that I was privy to Bond's first outing as a Double-0' agent.
Great to see another 3D Bond girl too. From the outset'16' matches Bond, step for step, and is as brilliantly capable and ruthless as any of her male counterparts.
In my opinion, this is also the best reading of a Bond book that I've listened to. Matthew Goode, gives a considered performance, embodying all of the different characters with ease, and a subtlety that never threatens to stray into distraction.
This has definitely left me hoping Horrowitz and Goode is a combination that pops up again.
A very satisfying bond story
