thirteen in a dozen

This was a fluffy romance with nothing to remember. No tension, interchangeble characters, but well read.

Wonderful

I loved how this story was brought to life. Billy and Tanner were made for each other. I loved how Nadine embraced Tanner's coming out. Loved the dual narration

Narrator

It was a cute story. I was not a big fan of two different narrators in this book. Depending on who was narrating, the character had a different feel to me. With Sean Crisden, Billy seemed meek. Not sure how I liked that. Good story though. HEA

Steamy Romance, but Bad Narration

Even though there are two different narrators they sound... EXACTLY the same. Its impossible to tell which narrative you're in.

Narration was... bof!

The story's OK. Characters are good, I mean not very original, but interesting. All in all, good book. BUT, the narration is really not okay. It's always a bit confusing when there are two narrators reading full chapters because they speak for both main characters. So, Sean Crisden reads Tanner's chapters while Chris Chambers reads Billy's. When it is Sean reading and speaking for Billy, his voice is really unpleasant and gives Billy's character a completely different vibe. The more I went into the narration, the more I was upset with that and it was difficult to listen even if I wanted too know the end of the story.
When there are two readers, each one should read their full character's part and not switch chapters.

Great listen

This is my 1st Book I listen to by Daryl Banner. The story develops nicely. A good combination of the world building and character development. I loved Tanner and Billy story.
Narrators Chris Chambers and Sean Crisden did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.

Charming Texas tale by talented author

This one is really good. Having grown up in Texas I can confirm its authentic feel of the place. The romance of the football player and the small town bakery boy is touching, sweet and hot. I like that this author includes some physical descriptions of the mc’s bodies and appearances, often lacking in other books of the same genre. He actually knows what he’s talking about! The writing is very good, also witty and several scenes are very amusing. No needless angst or self-pity, thank goodness. This is a much more mature author than most. Looking forward to many more.
