About this listen

An Astra Militarum Audiobook

In the jungles of the Dolorosa Coil, a coalition of alien T'au and human deserters have waged war upon the Imperium for countless years.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a typically weird and twisted tale from Peter Fehervari, with intriguing characters, a plot that will keep you guessing, and more mystery than you can shake a pulse rifle at.

THE STORY

Fresh Astra Militarum forces from the Arkhan Confederates are sent in to break the stalemate on Dolorosa Coil, and annihilate the xenos. But greater forces are at work, and the Confederates soon find themselves broken and scattered. As they fight a desperate guerrilla war, their only hope may lie in the hands of a disgraced commissar, hell-bent on revenge.

This book is good just get it. Fantastic atmosphere and characters alongside some xenos that aren't in a lot of 40k books such as the loxatl and vespids

Different kind of 40k book

Excellent characters, good level of hopelessness, action bits actually well written, beats the predictability of most 40k novels. Great horror story.

This was my last on To-Read-Listen-List from Peter Fehervari and he delivered yet again. Look no further - all his work in 40k is worth your time. Especially if you are fun of horror. My favorite author from BL right now. More is what we need. Great performance as well.

Best 40k

It is differnt than typical bolter action. It straight horror novel and exelent depiction of chaos. Even the best across black library catalog.

One of the best Warhammer 40k books

While the book is okay, it includes so many characters and stories all at once it can be difficult to follow in the beginning. The story is very unlike other 40k stories, as this one is more focused on the mental effect of a “pointless war” on its soldiers.

While some characters are interesting, the Tau are more of a “uh bad guys… or are they” addition. The story is about the humans in this conflict and you wont learn anything else about the 40k setting from this book. If you like a story that focuses on the horrors of war, on the failings of the human mind in a world wrecked by war, and where you’ll have to dive deep into the story tellers points of views in order to understand, then this is a book for you.
