About this listen

A Warhammer 40,000 Audiobook

Grotsnik comes to the aid of Beastboss Bakum on Hive Prome, and it soon becomes apparent that the Mad Dok is feverishly working on something that could change the fate of ork-kind forever.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

How wild does a painboy have to be to earn the nickname "Mad Dok"? Find out as you follow Grotsnik – with eager scalpel in hand – as he plans his latest galaxy-changing creation. What could it be?

THE STORY

Da Mad Dok Grotsnik, creator of Ghazghkull Thraka, is a painboy beyond legend. What – and who – he harbours in his formidable brain is a mystery to every ork but himself, and an army of orderlies provides him with a constant supply of flesh with which to tinker.

When Grotsnik comes to the aid of Beastboss Bakmun, whose rampage on Hive Prome teeters on the brink of going out not with a Waaagh! but with a whimper, Bakmun can't believe his luck.

Following a series of increasingly unlikely accidents, however, it soon becomes apparent that the Mad Dok is working on something in the depths of his colossal Painwagon. Something big. Something that could change the fate of ork-kind forever, surpassing Grotsnik’s own forging of the Prophet of the Waaagh!…

Great story with fun twists and turns. Really well written, gripping with those delicious lore tid bits. Need to go convert a pain boss now

Turns out a mad ork is scary

Another great ork story, of wacky tales, crazy guns and even bloodier battles.

Only thing they were missing was uthtak Gargant smasher.

Loving another good look into orks psychology and crazy wacky inventions, a great explanation into the beast snaga clan

I only originally got the book looking for an appearance of ghazgull, and I didn't particularly care about Grotsnik. Boy were my expectations subverted. within the prologue I was hooked. Grotsnik, to me at least, is a more compelling character than ghazgull is. Grotsnik has removed his arm, stitched another one on, then change his entire torso. He isn't tha same Grotsnik who created GHAZGULL. he plans to bring Ghazgull down and he is deranged. The plot is very nice, performance was perfect in Ork voices. The only real problems is that it's short at only about 7 hours long, and sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between Ork voices. Grotsnik has a sly and noticeable different voice which helps, but when Grotsnik and valtun meet some kommandos, it gets 'ard.
WARNING: You may like this book so much you may want to kitbash the pain wagon and a Grotsnik for his legends datasheet. If you already have an army then this warning doesn't matter. Your wallet is already dead.
In short:GET DIS ZOGGIN BOOK CUZ GROTSNIK WILL KRUMP YA ARDER THAN GHAZGULL MAG URUK THRAKA.!!!!!

Grotsnik was more complicated than I thought
