Summary

Fate of the Fallen is the start of a brand-new adventure from New York Times best-selling author Kel Kade.

Not all stories have happy endings.

Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in headfirst, pulling his best friend, Aaslo, along for the ride.

However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough, and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin and the friends find themselves staring death in the face, they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be or, failing that, how to survive.

Groan - part 1

I enjoyed the story and the performance. Unfortunately it is very much part one from my perspective and did not progress the story of the first set of books. Same Verse and creatures etc. But not connected. Oh well I will have to wait for the next one.

Couldn't stop listening

An excellent book from Kel Kade and great narration from Nick Podehl as always.

Amazing adventures await that enthral the read/listener. Rarely does a book make you genuinely laugh that you pause it for a moment.

Anyone looking for something new that takes a new take on heros I would stress to them to listen to this book.

They did it again 😊

Kel's clever story is again put forth by Nick in a way that catches your mind and too soon is finished, waiting for more.

great story, cant wait for the next

the only confusing bit to me was how he couldn't figure out how to whisper when talking to himself. I mean u think he'd figure it out after the first couple people caught him. other than that, the narrator was awesome as always, and the story is intriguing. I hope the author goes back to Kings Dark Tidings before continuing this series but I wouldn't be mad either way lol

I love this book.

It's an amazing new addition to the library of an amazing author. The characters are great and none of them come off as trite or annoying. I'm particularly impressed with how good the Reaylin 2.0 (Tessa) character turned out to be. It is clear that the tale the author is spinning for us is a work of passion, and the ending leaves me only wanting more.

Bangerang

BUY THIS! I waited and waited and waited... and when it finally was released, I finished it in a 48 hr period. Simply amazing, fun and action packed. I’m obsessed with everything Kel Kade writes. It grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. It’s a book that you try and do something productive while listening to... and then find yourself sitting down unable to breakaway from. Nick Podehl is my favorite narrator and he and Kade did a great job yet again. Now I just have to wait for book two...

good start

Fate of the Fallen is a good start to a new series. it seems to be the start of a darker series with touches of humor and hope. I like that it is not grim dark with a bunch of characters you hate. It is not KDT with an indomitable Rezkin, however Aslow appears to have an indomitable spirit. I am hopeful for the series and will be looking forward to the next installment.

Simply wonderful

I really enjoy Kel Kade’s work and this book was no different. Nick Podehl’s performance was amazing like always and it really dragged me into to story. Also as a side note I never thought I would fall in love with a stupid horse.

Refreshing Epic Fantasy

refreshing story was light-hearted and made me smile like watching princess bride. chosen one troupe with good and evil warring is no where to be seen in this book. I've read all the big series, such as stormlight archive, lightbringer, wheel of Time. and at first this seemed to light hearted to be taken seriously. By the end I fell in love with it's twist and turns.. it doesn't need to be said that Nick podehl was amazing as well.
