Summary

Fate of the Fallen is the start of a brand-new adventure from New York Times best-selling author Kel Kade.

Not all stories have happy endings.

Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in headfirst, pulling his best friend, Aaslo, along for the ride.

However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough, and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin and the friends find themselves staring death in the face, they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be or, failing that, how to survive.

Human gods

Great story, took me back to the early technicolour films of the 70’s where gods set heroes their challenges. Made me think we imagine gods in our own likeness so our earthly character entertains us.

It gets better as it goes along

Originally thougt it was part of the dark tidings series, so a little confused at the start but at after double checking and realising it is a new series it is an enjoyable listen; and as always the narrator is very good at helping you distinguish between the characters and help you feel immersed in the story. Predictable at times and some weirdness, but overall enjoyable.

Groan - part 1

I enjoyed the story and the performance. Unfortunately it is very much part one from my perspective and did not progress the story of the first set of books. Same Verse and creatures etc. But not connected. Oh well I will have to wait for the next one.
