Battle of the Hunted

When this book ended we knew a war was coming to Earth and the big question was will the survivors of the virus be able to fight against an unknown enemy who see's them as a food source. I enjoyed all 3 books in this series

Book three Dystopia

You have to read the others to know what is going on otherwise you'll get yourself confused. This carries on from where we were left in book two. We find out more about the alien spiecies and about the humans that knew.
It is fast paced and full of tension. This book gets your heart pumping with nail biting moments but because of the violence I would not recommend you listen to it while you eat. you have been warned.
Dying to find out what happens next.
Would recommend.

3rd book in the series

Book 3 in this series continues to follow the survivors' struggles in a world where most of the population has died. With the new threat which was introduced in book 2, they have more threats to deal with. As with the previous books, the story moved along at a good pace and the narrator did well with the text. Well worth a listen if you enjoy horror/scifi with a twist.

Too old to breed but still good to eat.

The silver ship in the sky might have caused unease and consternation but the black ship that replaced it caused terror. These aliens, faster, taller and bulkier than humans and making sounds similar to those who had been sick with the virus, were very different from those who came first. They were on Earth to feed, and they were hungry. So few humans left, what hope do they have?

Again written mostly with quite short, simple sentences which increase the tension, Battle of the Hunted, follows the handful of survivors met in the previous book in their attempts to live through the arrival of the Shroud. Tim Jackson again narrates, his pleasant mellow voice with just a tiny undertone of the sinister is perfect for this book also. His pace is not fast, no histrionics, but steady, which curiously increases the tension. His voicing of each protagonist is individual and appropriate.

My thanks to the rights holder of The Batt!e of the Hunted, who,at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy, via Audiobook Boom. Best started at the beginning with book one, this has become an absorbing and scary series

Don't listen alone

I had to stop this book multiple times! I got so scared. These books are a mix of walking dead and falling skies! Great storyline, background of characters, and narrator!

The Scourge Have Arrived

I totally enjoyed listening to this alien/dystopian book 3rd in series and thus far the best. I totally enjoy the characters Amanda, Bill, Ellie, Mike, Kylie and Uncle Jack. Most of the good aliens had left except a few and the vicious aliens (scourge) are killing and eating men and kidnapping fertile women while Susan is working to find a cure for the virus for remaining humans and is using Ben who can also communicate with the scourge. Cannot wait to find out about the women the scourge have kidnapped and if cure is found and who ends up surviving. Recommend if you want a different zombie/alien book. Amazing Continuation!

This installment was quite enjoyable to listen to. Once again we are pulled into the fight for survival with a well written story and developed characters. I listened to all three of the books in this series one after the other. The first book was good but the second was better and this was the best yet. I'm hoping there's at least one more to this series. I enjoyed Tim Jackson's narration once again. He really helps to bring the book to life. His voices, emotions and pace really will pull you into this book and keep you hanging on his words until the end! I'll be recommending this story to my zombie reading friends.

Human Offal On The Menu

It's the end of the world as we know it.
Yet another well written story, 3rd in a series
but can be a standalone as the author deftly
reintroduces the charactors without it losing
the flow to the audience that has read/heard
the first two stories. Very well done.
I enjoy the narration of Tim Jackson but I do
enjoy him at 1 1/4 speed-just my preference (he's quite good).
I look forward to book number #4.
The author kindly gifted me this audio in exchange
for a honest review.
I would reccomend this story as your next purchase
it is very enjoyable.

Fatal Reaction Book 4 Battle of the Hunted

The surviving humans were dealing with two kinds of aliens. Add that to the yet-to-be-solved problems of the infected and the gangs. Book 3 of the Fatal Reaction series is definitely full of suspense and lots of surprising twists and turns.

The narration is good; kept me listening until way past my bedtime.

I am looking forward to Book 4.

wish it was longer, but really good

This has definitely been a series that I've enjoyed. I love how the author has woven aliens into a zombie apocalypse. My only complaint is that it is kind of short. That said, I also think this was the best book in the series. It definitely has a higher level of tension than the previous books. At least, for me it did. The narration continues to be good. I would highly recommend this series to any fan of the zombie apocalyse genre.

A Good read / listen

Fatal Reaction, Battle of the Hunted, Book 3. Difficult audiobook to review - I am really enjoying the series books 1 & 2 were great, book 3 I feel the story doesn't progress - the aliens hunt down humans, I am sure this is only a pause and book 4 will return to being action packed.
Narration is excellent.
I await the next one patiently.

An odd tale to be sure!

To say this is an odd story would be putting it lightly. Aliens (good ones and bad ones of course), a virus that backfires, several survivors trying to make sense of the situation, and Ronnie the maniac. I’m not sure where this story is going to lead, or whether I should care. It’s a bit strange to say the least. Three.point.five for some potential.
