About this listen

The Expeditionary Force saga continues with Fallout, the eagerly awaited sequel to number one Audible-ranked and New York Times best-selling Breakaway, from an epic sci-fi writer at the top of his game. Join the millions of listeners who have enjoyed R.C. Bray’s hilarious portrayal of Joe, Skippy, the Merry Band of Pirates, and so many other unforgettable characters.

The problem with lying about having a super weapon is that the bad guys might believe they have nothing to lose by doing something stupid that both sides will regret. Or, they might just call your bluff. Either way, the Merry Band of Pirates need a plan to deal with the Fallout.

Alanson tees them up and Bray knocks them out of the park.
At this point in the series, 13 books in and all over 15hrs, this should be getting a bit samey. it's still fresh, it's still good and it's still entertaining as hell. Roll on #14

Great again!

A brilliant installment in the series. Made me laugh, cheer and hold my breath, all in goo measure. Craig is a brilliant writer, R C Bray is a brilliant narrator and as with every other book before this one I am left wanting more!

Fantastic

This was a slightly different story than avid listeners have been used to, kind of a Mavericks novella combined with the irascible legend that is skippy and the clueless joe show. The first part concentrates on the events of book 13 and how the Mavericks cope with the Thuranin and kristang whilst the rest of the story deals with a much larger threat. There are the usual silly twists, stupid ideas and his awesomeness himself doing, well, awesome things that us poor ignorant monkeys couldn’t begin to fathom.
I will never get the mental picture of the ending out of my head, that is scorched there for life and if they ever get around to making this into a TV/Film production it will be amazing to see! The legend that is RC Bray is again perfect for the role and he performs the story with humour and fun throughout.
All good things must come to an end and now that one threat is dealt with (down boy, fetch stick) the big one is coming up. I hope he can answer those remaining questions such as where are the ancients, who scared them away, what beats a fluffernutter and what does Joe have against Nutella?
A wonderful distraction from reality and if Mr Alanson is reading this, my sun deprived part of Northern England was made a little brighter.

Book 13 and the stakes keep getting bigger

From one blundering near disaster to humanity to the next! The merry band of pirates pull it back from the brink time and time again. Hilariously funny, sarcastic and thought provoking, these stories are fantastically brilliant. Absolutely marvellous Mr Alanson. Read by the one and only true story teller, RC Bray. Yet another outstanding performance. Keep up the fantastic work guys. Can’t wait for the next exciting instalment.

Trust the awesomeness!
