Summary

Hidden, abandoned, and betrayed, Klaus is a mysterious boy with an unknown past and uncertain future. Growing up in the post-World War II ruins of Eastern Europe, he struggles to find happiness as he is moved from one orphanage to another.

As a lonely orphan, he yearns for love, a home, and a family. But after being betrayed over and over, will Klaus ever be able to trust anyone? Will he find the love he yearns for? And will he ever discover his mysterious past?
