Summary

A disgraced intelligence expert. A survivalist collective. When the red rain falls, the world won’t be far behind....

After his wife turned terrorist, Simon Redfall thought his life couldn’t get any worse. On the lam and all alone, Redfall risks his life to attend the public execution of the woman he once loved. The only reward for his sympathy is an angry mob trying to tear him to shreds.

When a deluge of red rain begins to fall, Redfall is pulled to safety by eccentric preppers and asked to join their mission to uncover a global weather conspiracy smothering the planet. As the red storm clouds spread, so does trouble when power grids falter, militants weaponize, and world leaders start pointing fingers.

Redfall and his team have one chance to expose the mastermind controlling the red rain. If they fail before the last drop falls, an all-out war may just destroy mankind.

Redfall is a fast-paced post-apocalyptic thriller series. If you like edge-of-your-seat action, high-stakes suspense, and global conspiracies, then you’ll love Jay J. Falconer’s gritty survival series.

Not what I was expecting

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't quite this. The narration was very good and the characters did what I really like and that's to stay true to their character, whether you like them or not. I guess I just wasn't expecting the story to be quite so unrealistic. One man controls the internet , one man controls everything made for the department of defense, the government controls TV and phones, etc. I like my post apocalyptic stories to be rooted in a little bit more realistic terms. It was entertaining though and well paced. I'll probably get the next in the series because of those reasons as well.

interesting start

I was intrigued by the theory of the apocalypse then was turned off by the characters and their childish interactions and dialogue.

Foul, perverted, & deranged

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Cut out the sex and at least some of the foul language.

Any additional comments?

Good mystery, but I'll probably never know how it ends because I can't stand to listen to two more books of this smut.

Little Prepper instruction

I was hoping for some Prepper instruction. None here this is a book of fiction.

Great job by Gary Tiedermann

This story is interesting and spell binding at times. Some of plots are a bit far-fetched, but they make for a more enjoyable listen.

To slow

Took to much time trying to describe things and not enough on storyline. I won’t be reading anymore of Redfall.

passes time but not tecommended.

The narrator did a great job. My biggest gripe is that the author goes into detail about things that he obviously doesn't know squat about. specifically firearms. Calling an aa12 a Russian shotgun? .22 rimfire shoved bullet first into a .44spl hp to make an exploding bullet?
