Summary
For Clare O’Connell, home is where the heart aches....
Since the age of 16, Clare O'Connell has lived her life by four strict rules:
- Don't talk about Ireland.
- Don't think about Ireland.
- Don't go to Ireland.
- Don't let anyone in.
And so far, it's worked well. She's got a great career, amazing friends, and she's really happy. The future is all that counts, isn't it?
However Clare is about to realise that you can run from the past, but you can't always hide from it.
When her boss insists she travels to Ireland for work, Clare finds herself drawn back to the village of Ballykielty - the home of her family, and the home of her secrets. The one place she vowed never to return to again.
With the door to her past now wide open, the first three rules have gone out of the window. Will Clare stick to rule number four
Can she be brave and face up to her family and the demons of her past?
An emotional novel of family, friendship and dealing with your past from top 10 best seller Jessica Redland.
This book was previously published as Dreaming About Darran.

Needed trigger warnings
I didn't expect descriptions of rape or so much about domestic abuse or miscarriage, etc.in a romantic story. Wouldn't have got this one if I'd known

Needs a warning for sensitive topics
There were a lot of twists and turns and some totally unnecessary and uncomfortable. I have thought for a long time now that books should come with an age rating and trigger warnings. One story line was a huge curve ball and for those affected could not have seen it coming.
This left me disturbed and upset and I feel for anyone who listens / reads this without being prepared.

Really enjoyed the story of Claire
Great story and probably my favourite in the series so far. Decent Cork references for her trip home.
Only down side was some of the Irish dialogue was a bit stage Irish and the pronunciation of Irish names was pretty pour. Took me ages to guess Fr. Dockerty was Fr. Doherty. I still don’t know what her sister Nee-ah name is supposed to be. Maybe Niamh?

fantastic book and Author
I have listened to all of Jessica Redland's books on Audible, she is the most amazing author. her books have so many twists and turns. are so descriptive that I can visualise the people and places in all of her books. I love that her characters are not just in the one book, but pop up in other titles too. I'm sad that I have listened to all of them now, can't wait for the new one to come out. I have never been so captured by one author's style of writing, and coming from the North myself, the settings of Leeds and York and the Yorkshire coast are all places I know... thank you so much for all of your books #Jessica Redland. #Lucy Brownhill is also a great auditor.

Powerful stuff
What a treat . I’ve enjoyed all the Whitsborough Bay books but this dealt with some really difficult issues in a very sensitive way . I really didn’t want the story to end .
