Wrong turns, humiliating flops, painful heartbreaks—and happiness? Yes, believe it or not, they can go hand in hand.
Blogger and author Mandy Hale, affectionately known as The Single Woman to her half-million social-media followers, is living an adventurous life that proves even our lowest lows and messiest mess-ups can point us toward our joy-filled destiny as single women. In I’ve Never Been to Vegas but My Luggage Has, Mandy delivers heart-to-heart, often hilarious stories from a life filled with love and loss, glamour and goose bumps, faith and friendship, big dreams and battle scars. She shares even her darkest moments in witty, winsome ways that make us not only feel her pain, but also laugh with her and apply her hard-won nuggets of inspiration to our own lives. “Happily ever after” might not look or feel quite like what we expect, but it is well within our reach.
What made the experience of listening to I've Never Been to Vegas, but My Luggage Has the most enjoyable?
What I enjoyed the most in this book is how much I learnt and could apply to my life. God is awesome and we cannot force His Hand to do what we want but what is meant for us. It is better then our wildest imagination. Mandy talks about your life coming full circle in certain situations! I cannot believe it but the first time this happened to me is this past weekend! I love it! Read the book to find out what she is taking about.
Who was your favorite character and why?
What inspired me the most is how God works in a mysterious way!
Have you listened to any of Mandy Hale’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to her other book: The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of SassThe have both inspired me to be my own person, and not to settle for anything less then the best and what God has planned for me.I am also busy with reading: The Single Woman's Sassy Survival Guide: Letting Go and Moving On
I also ordered her new book as well Beautiful Uncertainty
What did you learn from I've Never Been to Vegas, but My Luggage Has that you would use in your daily life?
What I have learnt about this book is that she also struggles with the same challenges in her life as many of us women. We all want that "specific man" to love us, but he alludes us, and that means that he is not meant for us. We are impatient and we just want that specific man now but cannot wait for the right man that God has for us in mind.
