Great
This was a great rom com. Lovely writing, soft and really able to connect with the main characters. First class. Will look for others by this author.

A feel good romantic comedy
The story is typical of light romances. The first looks and look aways, the tingle at the touch of hands. The misunderstandings. The first kiss.
But throw in a film star (Leonard) who can't seem to get rid of his fierce persona when he leaves the set, two adorable young sons who miss their dad and love being on holiday with him in Croatia, and his hidden desire to write a love song, and you have some interesting situations.
On the other side is a young widow (Isabella) also with a son, who loves cooking and gardening, and for a job, takes care of the beautiful summer villas overlooking the sea.
Both resist the draw of the other, but his two young sons connive to get them together, as well as her BFF arranging things too. It looks like love will win out, but then....
Oh my, disaster, misunderstanding, missed messages, he thinks and she thinks. Then she despairs and he despairs. If it wasn't for that wonderful taxi driver who is related to just about everyone in Croatia, well, you just have to read the book. It ties up nicely.

Clueless in Croatia
When an actor, who is forced to maintain his onscreen persona in his real life, finally lets down his guard and lets his real personality shine through, good things begin to happen. Will it all fall apart when others begin to meddle?
I enjoyed this romance by Joy Skye. I liked the storyline and the atypical locale. There were some sections that did seem a bit rushed.
Guy Barnes did a fine job with the narration. I had no issues with following along.

the beginning is good
The story starts promising. Clever and funny. Unfortunately, it is not consistent throughout the story, and for me it started to feel a little melodramatic.
The narrator was okay, but I think I would have preferred a female narrator for this one.

THIS ONE WAS GREAT !!!!!
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS STORY. IT IS WELL WRITTEN AND EASY TO FOLLOW. IS ALSO ACCEPTABLE FOR ALL AGES.
THE MAN IS A SHERLOCK MEETS MR SCROOGE PERSONA WITH DREAMS OF WRITING MUSIC. THE LADY IS AN DREAMING, ADVENTUREOUS COUNTRY GIRL TURNED ISLANDER/ SINGLE MOM BY A TRAGEDY. IT'S LITERALLY A STAR CROSSED LOVE STORY THAT COULDN'T STOP LISTENING TO.
NARRATOR IS GREAT AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

sweet - HEA
A sweet romance - main characters are: Actor Leonard, and single mom Isabella. Leonard is off to vaca and get away from the demands of his demanding popularity due to his career. He takes his two young boys and while on vaca meets Isabella who has a young boy of her own. The sparks are instant for them both but Isabella is put off by Leonard's gruff ways. As the two are put in proximity time and again the chemistry ignites but Leonard's agent does not have his best interests at heart and puts a wrench in this budding romance. Will the quick found love these two have found with each other be enough to survive the storm of being a celeb or will the troubles they face be too much? Narration was okay but not great. Storyline flowed well and I loved the secondary characters so much in this read - they really brought out the best in our main characters.
