About this listen

Adina remained on Earth to stay with her husband, even though she was the perfect candidate for the alien bridal program on the planet Lukrim. She has a good job, a husband who loves her, and a hobby watching old movies where the sky was still blue. She's worked her way up to be the director at the very program she denied herself from, but now, her alien boss on Lukrim wants more from her.

I loved the narration of Marissa Morreale

This one hot short listen... Adina is working at human/alien marriage recruitment center. Her communications with her alien boss Tahum have all been virtual. Adina is married to Mike , who works construction and is at home recuperating from a work injury .
Tahum, her alien boss, dangles the job of a lifetime with an offer for both of them to move to his planet. There is some hot dominant sex between the three of them.....

This review was written having finished the series. In retrospect, it’s fascinating to see where a grand intergalactic tale begins. This book does an excellent job laying the foundation for what becomes a spectacularly sprawling conflict. What starts as a seemingly straightforward story quickly evolves into something much bigger, with layers of intrigue, shifting allegiances, and a universe that feels both vast and alive.

I loved the character work in the book. Each of them is well-crafted, distinct, and compelling in their own right, making it easy to become invested in their journey. I love how the author managed to set up such great ground work within a limited time.

Overall, this book was a fantastic read, and knowing what comes later in the series only enhances my appreciation for how well the groundwork was laid here. It strikes a great balance between action, character depth, and world-building while setting the stage for the larger conflicts to come. If you enjoy epic space operas with a touch of spice, this is well worth the read.

This book sets the scene for the Ragrim conflict series. Adina and Mike are stranded on Earth. Adina could leave Earth as a bride, but she will not leave her husband. When Tahum arrives on Earth all that changes. He wants Adina and he's willing to take Mike too. I enjoyed this story and the narration is perfect.

This book has all the action for a book that is mainly based in space. It has all the emotions of choosing what is wanted vs what is needed. A great performance.
