Summary

Audiobook four of the Ciaphas Cain series.

Listen to it because:

It's a tale of Cain alone (well, except for Jurgen, but he hardly counts), surrounded by enemies and desperate for a good cup of tanna tea....

The story:

Once again, reluctant hero Commissar Cain is catapulted into glory in the fourth instalment of this tremendously popular series. Escaping from a disastrous space battle, the commissar and his malodorous sidekick Jurgen crash-land behind enemy lines. Even the sly Cain can't avoid a straight fight this time, as the only way out is to round up what few troops they can find and fight their way back to safety. Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of barbaric alien orks stand in their way.

Great

The book itself and the narration is great but it hasn’t been grouped properly with the other books in the series- all the others have Series: Ciaphas Cain: Warhammer 40,000.

Another amazing performance in the continuing saga of Ciaphas Cain.

The cast bring to life the adventures one of the Imperium's greatest heroes.

Chad Cain vs Orks on a derset planet 🤣

-Orks Orks Orks Orks Orks Orks
- Young Cain + Jurgen
-Deep behind energy lines
-Gorilla Warfare
-Mad max theme
-Cain x 100 luck
-NEED MORE!
-More dialogue compare to the rest of Cain audio books then action and the ending felt too quick nevertheless I enjoyed the Frick out of it

Another stellar performance

this series is so grand, a thrill ride of adventure and full of Cains sardonic humor. 10/10
I can't wait till the next audio book in the series.

Felicia!!!

This book is fantastic fun. Im glad to finally reach Cains first meeting with Felicia who shows up in other adventures. The first battle for Perlia being such a turning point in Cains career makes this a must read.

surprisingly good

I normally don't like prequels. But it is Cain and his dense plot armor at its best.

great voice actor Performance.

Cain, hero of the Imperium!

This is exactly what we have come to love and expect from Sandy Mitchell. This particular account is from earlier in our hero's career.

I have no desire to ruin the story for any readers, but this story definitely is a pivotal early career story for our favourite commissar.

classic

I actually read this one many years ago. I didn't mind listing to it again. Cain is a nice fun break from the more heavier books of eshinohorn

The birth of the hero of imperium

Another typical Cain...in the best way possible. Of course performance is perfect as well so really nothing to be unhappy about.
