Summary

Zero to Finals is a resource dedicated to helping medical students and other healthcare professionals prepare for exams. It was created from scratch to help students of medicine accelerate their learning, achieve more in less time and feel more motivated along the way. The Zero to Finals books are designed to be studied in preparation for your exams. The waffle has been removed, and the key information you need for your revision is presented in a simple and easy to understand way.

Helpful “Tom Tips” are included to help you score those extra marks on points that examiners love to test. The focus is on learning the concepts, vocabulary ,and latest guidelines so you can take the fastest route to exam success and proficiency as a new doctor.

The Zero to Finals books are supplemented by the resources on the website (zerotofinals.com). There is a webpage on each topic, with illustrations, diagrams, podcasts, and videos that tackle the problem from every angle. You can also find carefully crafted practice questions to test your knowledge after studying each topic, with feedback to help you develop your exam technique.

Just what I needed

I am a Nurse Practitioner working clinically on wards and this book is perfect for a practical overview of medicine and physiology. Easy to understand, points to consider and just generally nicely written/spoken. It's both revision and learning for me and is helping me identify areas that I need to focus my learning and those where I can see I already have a good understanding. It's not just for med students.

Great way to revise

I used this to break the ice on my knowledge as it's the last formidable way to revise. obviously it requires flash cards/notes and quizzes to solidify this knowledge.

Concise, perfect for passive learning

Leading up to my exams I had this on whenever I was cooking, cleaning, driving.. anything that wasn’t reading/studying! And it really helped drill in some of those key facts and concepts that are essential for the exams. A truly valuable resource. I am thrilled to see that the Obs & Gyn version was released in January too!

Great revision

This is a really helpful revision source. The chapters aren’t too long so therefore easier to remember.
The only negative criticism is the continuous upward inflection at the end of every sentence - which becomes really irritating after a while.
Otherwise, a brilliant idea and an easy listen.

essential

I've been using zero to final since my third year of med school and boy has it saved me a lot of time writing my own notes, they are concise and to the point. although I've been listening to the podcast which is the same content as this audiobook as a audible member with a few spare credits (as I have no time to listen to fictional audiobooks during finals). I decided to purchase this not only to support the author but to facilitate easier access to this resource. if this is your first time using zero to finals you will not be disappointed a great resource for traveling to and from placements also I would highly recommend getting the books.

perfect for preparing my exams

I'm listening to it every time I drive or work out, talks you trough all the topics pick up just enough details and very exam oriented. this and the paediatrics are perfect for what it's intended to utilise downtime and not having to sacrifice every minute of life for some learning. Thank you for this book.
obviously if you are not using it as a medical professional you'll see little use of it as it builds on the knowledge base you have to have to be a final year med student.
