Summary

Autumn 1940, World War Two: Bombs are raining down, destroying the cities of Britain. The evacuations begin, and soon children are being taken to the country for safety. Nice enough story to listen to, although not as gripping as the first. Narration not the best... the comical character voices are annoying and distracting.

It was ok but if you are expecting the quality of writing that Susan Hill gave us in the original- you will be disappointed
