About this listen

With her trademark lyricism, Maggie Stiefvater turns to a new world, where a pair are swept up in a daring, dangerous race across a cliff—with more than just their lives at stake should they lose.

It took a while to get into and then became utterly enchanting and difficult to stop. I loved the mythology and world building the opening was a wee bit slow but worth sticking around for. The authors note at the end made me want to 5 star it - very interesting!

A great and wholesome world built

I read the book version years ago and it always stuck with me. Stiefvater creates the most vividly world of the sea horses and the characters.
The minor let down was the male voice actor who I thought sounded too old for the character.

Story’s great

I'm a big fan of this author's work but often this can be ruined by the person / people reading the book. Not the case for this author. This book is the perfect blend of fantasy and reality. If you love horses and fantasy this is the perfect novel for both.

My Favorite Book

This was a fantastic and thrilling story.I loved the idea of the water horses and like her other work The Scorpio Races is full of flawless prose and engaging characters.
I found that the narration was sometimes a little stilted and that is honestly my only critique of this book.

An engaging story
