I am new to this audio book - iPod thing - but I love the Left Behind series, and I wasn't disappointed in this book. Hearing the different voices, and the music, made it more real. This whole series makes you think. Listening this way, really makes you pick up your Bible.

The Halfway Point in the Series, With an Excellent Cliffhanger
As I have said in my reviews of each previous book in the series till this point: If you are a Christian, I would recommend this book to you not only as an excellent work of fiction but as a kind of companion to a Bible study of the book of Revelation. While I am not a minister or a Bible scholar, as a Christian these books are very accurate, and I know my understanding of the book of Revelation has been expanded through this series.
If you are not a Christian, I would recommend this book to you as an excellent work of fiction (which it is), and if it (re)awakens questions you haven’t asked in a very long time, if at all, then I would encourage you to seek answers like the characters in this series. Find a Bible and a church that preaches Christ, that if you are willing to hear it you may know the truth.
Now as for this story, Assassins features wonderful pacing. Strong characters, realistic dialogue, and, as I mentioned in the title of this review, an incredible cliffhanger at the end that has left me on pins and needles for the next book. The only reason I entered 4 stars for the story is for a typo that can be heard a little over halfway through the book.
When Zion is explaining to Mack why the ten kings are going to want to kill Peter Matthews, he references this verse: “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.” Revelation 17:16. However, in the book Zion says this verse is from Revelation chapter 7. I’m sure this was just a typo that slipped through the cracks, but I wanted to make sure it was noted for anyone who might not have noticed.
As for the narration, Ferrone seems to be improving with every book he narrates. His signature dryness only seems to add to the atmosphere of this dark, gritty world the tribulation force inhabits. Aside from that, his voice acting sounds much more emotional and realistic than it has in the past, with the last bit of dialogue between Carpathia and Fortunato having honestly given me chills.
I incredibly enjoyed this book and am enthusiastic for the next entry to the Left Behind series.

Good book, but yet another cliffhanger.
I'm really liking the series so far, I just don't like them ending on cliffhangers, the development of the characters is really cool, there is plenty of emotional and inspiring parts for believers in Christ and non-believers, along with some cool action sequences, some parts are real intense, I don't like graphic depictions of death, but it would probably take away from the story if it wasn't in there, I would recommend this book as long as there okay with how graphic some of the things in this book are, okay on to book 7.

As Good As Remembered
It's nearing the middle of the Tribulation! And though everything is dated, as far as technology talk is concerned, the story is still riveting. Knowing what the Bible foretells will happen during the seven Tribulation period, one realizes just how hard it must have been to write a thriller series trying to make this come to life. So much, like the four horsemen of the apocalypse, is not complete understood. But Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins were able to do it, and keep the reader engaged. And Richard Ferrone makes the book come to life. It's one of the best series on Audible.
