Summary
Iron Man chronicles the story of both pioneering guitarist Tony Iommi and legendary band Black Sabbath, dubbed "The Beatles of heavy metal" by Rolling Stone. Iron Man reveals the man behind the icon yet still captures Iommi's humor, intelligence, and warmth. He speaks honestly and unflinchingly about his rough-and-tumble childhood, the accident that almost ended his career, his failed marriages, personal tragedies, battles with addiction, bandmates, famous friends, newfound daughter, and the ups and downs of his life as an artist.
Everything associated with hard rock happened to Black Sabbath first: the drugs, the debauchery, the drinking, the dungeons, the pressure, the pain, the conquests, the company men, the contracts, the combustible drummer, the critics, the comebacks, the singers, the Stonehenge set, the music, the money, the madness, the metal.

Very good book about Tony iommi
I have alot of admiration for Tony iommi through the years people have focused on ozzy but there are 4 members of that band and each one has his talent and journey with this band.

Truly brilliant
Never a big fan of Sabbath more AC/DC / Led Zeppelin but always appreciated their music. Tony writes well and shares his journey if fantastic detail. Bev Bevan did a decent enough job narrating though it did come across as a geography teacher mostly. Doesn’t matter much I enjoyed the book entirely absolutely brilliant

Was a good book, shame I could hear bev’s saliva swishing around his mouth and swallowing and I’m sure I heard his stomach rumble half way through, I throughly I was listening to in the oust house with Alan partridge,

Really interesting listen
I really enjoyed this book. I like the fact they used a Brummie, however I found he had a strange inflection and seemed to pause at points where he shouldn't. I don't know if this was the narrator or author, I just found it weird. That being said it was a great tale, like most rockers autobiographies it got a bit boring and repetitive towards the end, but they tend to........ the ones that don't are dead!
Well worth a listen.

Good and Interesting
Interesting Life story of 9ne 9f the greats of heavy metal world. I liked how Iommi tells the story and the fact that the reader has English accent and is somebody who is close to the writer

Blimey! Bloody hell!
Drink every time the narrator uses the phrase “Blimey” or “Bloody Hell” and you’ll be pissed as a fart before the end of the first chapter. Very enjoyable listen.

Tony does it all ...
Lifelong sabbath fan . I do recommend this book ,which is well narrated.
However, there are a couple of things that stop this being 5 stars;
1) you get the feeling that Tony did everything at times more than the others. What about Geezer?
2) I get the impression that there is a fair bit omitted somewhere . Can't put my finger on it
Other than that , a must read from the riffmaster😼
