my heart broke for little Abbi, for her to be adopted then tossed away like a piece of rubbish, to be hurt over and over again,

what a shame

Great book, such a sad story for a young child to have such a bad start in life. Our care system is not not good enough.

A true story that shows the pit falls in the fostering system. Well written and shows that even the best foster carers sometimes can’t achieve what they would like but not for the want of trying

Excellent read

This is the third Louise Allen book I've listened to, the first was Stella's story, then Louise herself and her childhood both were heartbreaking and inspirational. Abby's story really upset me, I couldn't stop crying in the last few chapters, thankfully tears of joy in the end. Look forward to the next one, these books are awe inspiring and Louise does an amazing job.

Never cried at an audiobook before

I enjoyed this book but felt it was dragged out a bit at times. Well read but I got a little bit bored at times.

Good story.

I couldn't understand jow the child's bio father got away with the abuse. A DNA test would have given proof of his parentage and proof of his incestuous sexual abuse of his niece. Why was that not carried out?

The inhuman way the "system" deals with children that deserve better
