Summary

Vampire Cat Crawfield is experiencing a new role as a mother. Turns out, trying to manage a perfect domestic life for her daughter is more...challenging than Cat ever imagined. Since things have finally quieted down in the undead world, her husband, Bones, suggests that Cat recharge by spending a girls-only getaway with her best friend, Denise.

Cat and Denise intend to spend the week doing nothing more than dancing, drinking, and sightseeing. Unfortunately, they stumble across a deadly summer solstice ritual performed by powerful witches who have no intention of letting their uninvited guests live to reveal what they saw. Will this girls-only getaway turn out to be the last vacation - ever! - for Cat and Denise?

Simply disappointing

I was delighted to see a new story and there were a few snippets of the beloved character dialog but this one was not great. Due to shortness of the story, the manufactured, overly dramatic performance was too much. I’d suggest waiting for a sale, it’s not worth the current cost and in no way worth a credit.

6 Stars

I am so happy! My face actually hurt from smiling while listening to this book. A Grave Girls' Getaway is book 7.6, a short novella, from the Night Huntress series. This is one of my favorite series of all time and it has been completed for a while now, so having a chance to check back in with main characters Cat and Bones and side characters Spade and Denise. It is truly like coming home to family, a family you like, again and made my heart happy. As usual, there was plenty of action, adventure, and excitement. The narration was fantastic as with all of Tavia's readings of this series. I will listen to this book again. I highly recommend this series for anyone who enjoys urban fantasy, paranormal, and romance. 6 stars.

I can't get enough of Jeanine Frost!!

I can't get enough of Jeanine Frost!! I also absolutely love love love Octavia's voice. If I could default select her voice to read me every single one of my books I would and I make her the voice on my phone notifications and my Alexis ect. Not only does she have a great voice she is also wonderful story teller. Sje really brings the characters to life. Did I mention I feel like Jeanine Frost and Octavia Gilbert are the perfect combination in story telling!!

Love this series

Another great book in the Night huntress series. I love getting to read about Denise, she is a favorite of mine. Getting to know more about Cat as a mom and her daughter was great too.

Cat and Bones are back

I’ve always loved the humor in this series. The premise of Cat and Denise having a simple girls’ trip is brilliant. Even the awareness that that old ways of having fun don’t work anymore is true and funny. The continuity of the characters across the series brought me right back into their world. They’re old friends who’s lives are changing, but consistent with what I’ve seen of their development over time.

A fun revisiting of Cat & friends

I loved checking back in on Cat & Bones and friends a few years later. It was as entertaining as I hoped it would be. And I was nice seeing that motherhood hasn't changed Cat to much.

As good as expected.

Was action packed and brought me right back into Cat's world. Jeaniene Frost did a great job! And of course Tavia Gilbert brought it to life so well. highly recommend.
