Summary
From the New York Times best-selling author of the Night Huntress series comes a thrilling new look at the iconic origin story of Cat and Bones, as experienced by Bones, from the other half of the grave....
There are two sides to every story - and the sizzling, British alpha vampire, Bones, has a lot to say....
Ever wondered what Bones was thinking and feeling, when he and half-vampire Cat Crawfield first met? Or how their story might differ if he were the one telling it? Now, relive the beginning of Cat and Bones' best-selling love story through Bones' point of view, which reveals a darker, sexier take on their early days, as well as a deeper dive into Bones' past, the vampire world, and other things that Cat didn't see, when their story was told only through her eyes in Halfway to the Grave.

ive listened to all the series and i absolutely loved listening to bones' re telling of their story. would listen to his side for the remaining books in the series too. being able to hear his thoughts on the events and his feelings towards cat as they grew closer was amazing. tid bits about his past and his reasons for his actions throughout made me understand him better. as well as glimpses of what he was doing when not by cats side. sweet and yet heartbreaking at times. loved the narration. was perfect.

Such a good book !!
Having been put off the Audible series by Tavia s totally dreadful English accent for Bones I was so pleased to hear Bones story narrated by Will M Watt . I know nothing about this narrator but he makes Bones sound hard , sometimes mean but also manages to show Bones vulnerability as he comes to love Cat . (Tavia made Bones sound like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins )
Ideally I would so like Will to narrate the whole series but I’m guessing that won’t happen .. Any fan if Cat and Bones will enjoy this book - it’s a good stand alone book but makes way more sense if read after the series .

Welcome Back Cat and Bones
I love the Night Huntress world and have read every single Cat and Bones book and all the off-shoots as well. Seeing the first instalment through Bones’ view point was brilliant. I loved the way that Will M Watt brought Bones to life. This book has a real place in my heart and I just need Jeaniene Frost to write all the remainder of the series from Bones’ view!

Great !!
I must admit when I first started this (having read/listened to all the others read by Tavia Gilbert) I wasn’t sure I was going to be enamoured of the narration. I persisted and was extremely glad I did the narration was wonderful and too marks to Will.
I can’t say a lot about the story as it’s just the same but from Bones perspective still most enjoyable tho.

a Brilliant Companion to Halfway to the Grave
Man! I Loved this. I really enjoy the Night Huntress Novels and I've gone back and listened to Halfway to the Grave at least Half a dozen times. Its such a great read. The Other Half of the Grave was insanely entertaining, especially because I know this story already. You would think that would make the story boring or predictable but it isnt at all. We find out what Bones was up to all those times he was away from Cat and while Bones is pretty expressive in general, knowing what he was thinking gives you a whole new perspective. It felt new and fresh and not at all like a story I'd read before and the Narrator, Will, did such a good Bones impression.
I know I'll be listening to this again and again.

So good to hear this story from Bone’s side. The Night Huntress books are one of my favourite series, having said that I love ALL of her books and the narrators she gets for her audiobooks are fab. I hope Jeaniene continues this as she has finished it at my favourite part of the series. OMG can’t wait, thank you so much for this Jeaniene. I envy everyone who has yet to read or hear this 😆😆😆

Excellent in every way.
This is the best alternate point of view book that I have ever read. More accurately I listened to the audiobook and the narration was outstanding.
Please tell me that the rest of the series will follow. I already have a massive book hangover.
This is definitely going to be added to my reread list. The story from both points of view is outstanding and even knowing the plot, the story manages to feel fresh and exciting.

Bones comes alive
I was really looking forward to listening to this, and it definitely did not disappoint, I didn't want it to end. I have read and listened to the Night Huntress collection several times; I loved the narration except for the voice of Bones, just didn't work for me. Will Watt however has brought him to life, no longer the Artful Dodger / Eliza Doolittle, instead a powerful and sexy master vampire, much more in keeping with the writing, love this version. This is a vibrant and seductive alternative perspective, not just a copy of Halfway to the Grave but a valid stand-alone, a very satisfying listen.
Would really love to hear more.......please?

⭐️ ABSOLUTELY FANGTASTIC STORYTELLING ⭐️
So soooo damn good I didn’t want it to end and, I’m sure other fans of the Night Huntress series will agree, that it’s an unmissable essential must-have book in the Cat and Bones dreamy love story. The action is constant, the banter is humorous and entertaining, the chemistry is intoxicating, the web and world-building is phenomenal, the sex is sizzling and the story itself is very very addictive. Like other reviewers have said, it took a few chapters for me to settle down with the change in narrator because I’m used to Tavia Gilbert, but Will’s narration was first class A⭐️ perfection and he made the story enjoyable, exciting, emotional and epic. Well done Will 👏 💕.
Worth a credit? 100% YES I absolutely loved it.. and it’s made me want to listen to the whole series over again. If you’re a newbie to the Night Huntress series, or to Jeanine Frost, you’re in for a real Vampiric treat and I bet, like Bones, one taste will never be enough!

Fan-Freaking-Tastic!!!!
This was probably my MOST anticipated book of 2022, which is saying a lot, because I read a ton! But truly this entire Night Huntress series is one of my all time favorites, and the audios are extra special bonuses.
That being said, even though I know this story, have read/listened from Cat's perspective many times, I couldn't wait to have Bones' POV. And Jeaniene Frost knocked it out of the park. While some may complain, because let's face it the storie's been told already, any and all who love this series and have been jonesing for more since its end, could care less. It was so much fun seeing all of the things through Bones' eyes, along with things we weren't really aware of because we only knew Cat's view.
This is a book that is going to be a comfort read for me forever! I was concerned about the narration, because Tavia Gilbert's Bones' in the originals has played in my head for years...and I absolutely loved it. BUT!!!!! Will M. Watt did such a magnificent job!!!! He was pure perfection, could not have ever expected a better Bones' narration.
Needless to say, 10 stars if I could give them!!!! ❤❤❤❤

I am such a huge fan! It was amazing and totally worth it. I almost stopped listening when i got close to the end because, one: I didnt want it to end on a cliffhanger like the original did and two: what if she does a "Midnight Sun" and only writes one from Bones POV? I did finish it and what an end! Thank you so much! please please please write another! Vlad can wait one more book!

My only concern was that the narration was going to suck. When I saw that Will M. Matt would narrate the audiobook, I was so sad! After listening to most of the Night Huntress novels that Tavia Gilbert narrates, my standards are high, so he had some mighty big shoes to fill! Starting this audiobook, I will admit I was on the fence about his narration–since I had become so familiar with the way Tavia Gilbert had portrayed Bones, it took me a couple of chapters to get used to Will's voice. After the third or fourth chapter, I was hooked! STELLER performance snaps to you, Will.
Beyond my main concern with the narration, I was excited to read/listen more about Bones' perspective. I'd always wondered more about his backstory, feelings he didn't admit to Cat, and what happened when he wasn't on the page. Jeaniene gives us more understanding of Bones' inner feelings, backstory, the shenanigans off the page from "Halfway to the Grave", and his perspective on interactions with Cat. It makes me fall in love with the brit vamp even more. *swoons* Last, if you love the spicy scenes, buckle up because you're getting LOTS of them–with all the naughty perspective of the ex-gigolo himself! (excuse me while I literally fan myself)
Overall, "The Other Half of the Grave" is an enjoyable listen and a great urban paranormal romance story! Enjoy!

Phenomenal
This was amazing! I had been waiting for this release with so much anticipation…which is sometimes a recipe for disappointment because I expect too much. Not so here. It was even better than I had hoped for.
I’m also glad I listened to the audiobook because Will M. Watt did a great job, and I loved having a “voice” for Bones.

YES!! Bones is redeemed (narration-wise)
Finally I can listen to this amazing story! I have loved this series forever, it’s a go-to fave for me. So it broke my black heart that Tavia, while a decent enough narrator, absolutely BUTCHERED the voice of Bones so much so that it changed his character for me. I couldn’t make it through book 1 & I think I even returned it (which we all know is a big deal since Aud allows like two in your lifetime). I digress, I had originally wished for a new narrator for the Cat’s story, but this was better, a retelling that fills in blanks we didn’t know were needed, but the story isn’t altered. Bones was a badass sweet hottie before hearing his pov but this was incredible & dug this super sexy narrator. THANK YOU! Do NOT stop, I need the whole series retroactively but I’ll settle for very soon. Yay.
