 نجيب الحداد هو رائد مِن رواد النهضة الأدبية، وعلمٌ باسق في تاريخ المسرح العربي؛ فقد برز في أدب المقالة، والحكمة، والقصة، وإليه يُعزى الفضل في شدّ أزر الأدب الناشيء وتزويده بالروائع. وهو رائد الأدب المسرحي تأليفًا وترجمة، ورائد المدرسة الأدبية الحديثة التي تعمّقت في الاطّلاع على الآداب الغربية اطلاعًا واسعًا وحاولت أن تجدّد في ميادين الصحافة والشعر والقصة والمسرحية. وضع الحداد كثيراً من الروايات التمثيلية والقصصية، فوقعت رواياته موقع الاعجاب من جميع قرائها وسامعيها لما اشتهرت به من حسن الجدل وسلامة انتقاء المواضع وبلاغة الانشاء ورشاقة الشعر، حتى أصبح يتغنى بشعره المنشدون ويتناشده الناس لما امتاز به من الطلاوة والسهولة والابداع، وانتشر شعره في الأقطار العربية انتشاراً لم يسبق لسواه من مشاهير الكتاب. وقد كانت أشهر الفرق التمثيلية لا تمثل غير رواياته، ولا يقبل فريق الأدباء إلا على هذه الروايات، ويعد الحداد أول من أجاد تعريب الروايات الغربية وابدع فيها أيّما ابداع.©2019 Storyside (P)2019 Storyside Art & Literature Authors
