After dying and being reborn into a world that's built like a video game, Jim has found himself stuck in a very old-world style new-player zone for low-level adventurers. Revenge of the sith quote referenced twice, so automatic five stars across the board.

Aside from that it was an enjoyable if short listen that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Edit: yea, I was about an hour in before I bought the next two books. I was fairly drunk but sometimes you just know when you've got a winner. This book made me laugh repeatedly laugh in a park when I was on my own, which is even more awkward when there's a global pandemic on.

I normally prefer longer audiobooks, however this one was 100% worth the listen every time.
Very cleverly written, great humour and well thought out system that simultaneously take the piss out of itself, whilst not apologising for it. (Weirdly makes it more realistic!)
Couldn’t recommend this book enough. Straight away buying the rest of the series to listen to! 😁

The narration is very clear and well done, the amount of statistic lists is just right without being overbearing and I found the premise of the story to be quite a good one so far. It remains to be seen how farther entries will turn out in terms of character development.
