A passionate advocate for choice when it comes to energy, and with almost his entire career devoted to sustainability through efficiencies in the built environment, including a seven-year stint in Russia introducing green building concepts there, Vincent Battaglia, MBA now embarks on what he deems his most important mission – educating the public about energy independence and what it will mean to them and the environment. Currently serving as the CEO of Renova Energy Corp (Renova Solar), a firm he founded in 2006 to help bring solar to the Palm Springs area, which he deems the “epicenter” of the domestic solar movement, he also is the founder of Mycrogrid, inspired by Renova and devoted to solar + storage for families and businesses. A Certified Professional through NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Vincent also shepherded Renova Solar to becoming the first company in the United States to be accredited by NABCEP. A LEED AP, in 2005 he founded the Inland Empire chapter of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) as well as the Coachella Valley branch and holds several licenses including a C-46 as a solar contractor. He has also served as a Regional Instructor for University of California Riverside. Vincent frequently serves as a resource on renewables to the media, as well as to local, state and national elected officials and policy-framing organizations.
