S. Lee Davis is a critical care nurse, psychological thriller writer, and the author of the memoir The Girl in the Window. She grew up in rural Kentucky, where the events of her debut memoir took place. A survivor of generational trauma, Davis spent over two decades finding the strength—and the words—to tell her story. What began as scattered notes and locked-away memories eventually became a powerful narrative of survival, silence, and reclaiming one’s voice. By day, she works in healthcare. By night, she writes to give voice to those who grew up unseen, unheard, and unprotected. Her work explores the shadowed corners of human experience—from real-life trauma to the fictional unraveling of secrets in the psychological thrillers she is currently developing. S. Lee Davis lives in Louisville, Kentucky, where she is a proud mother of two daughters and grandmother to two beautiful grandsons. When she isn’t writing or working, you’ll find her with a Diet Coke, a stack of crime novels, or walking the quiet backroads that still echo with memory.
