Maria Salomão-Schmidt, MBA has had a very eclectic life. She was born in Lisbon, Portugal and grew up in the small New England town of Hudson, Massachusetts. She graduated from Boston College, Simmons College Graduate School of Management and the Rhys Thomas Institute of Energy Healing. Maria has lived many lives within this one, including being a teacher, entrepreneur, waitress, college professor, camp counselor, insurance processor, book store clerk, model, real estate broker, writer, vice president of Silicon Valley PR firm and flight attendant. Maria was one of The Oprah Show’s very last guests and has worked with some of the world’s most amazing people and organizations including Jack Canfield & Chicken Soup for the Soul, Jane Goodall, CBS Television, Mikhail Gorbachev, Girl Scouts of America, Procter & Gamble, Delta Airlines and Yahoo! Maria’s gift is to cut through the blocks and get right to the heart of the matter, through her unique brand of humor, intuition and zaniness. Maria is a powerful international life coach, speaker, author who helps ignite her clients’ life purpose. She is also a Reiki Master Teacher and expert in several other modalities including NLP, EFT (tapping), Chakra Balancing and Full Spectrum Healing. Maria lives in a pink 1800’s house in Holliston, Massachusetts and in a flat overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Paço de Arcos, Portugal with her husband Douglas. Together they have five children ranging in ages of 8 to 21 years old, plus they regularly foster both children and animals. They currently have four rescue dogs.
