Len Cooper is an award-winning writer, lecturer, and memoirist whose work explores trauma, resilience, identity, and the search for meaning across continents and generations. Raised in Jim Crow Alabama and later serving as a U.S. Department of Defense IT specialist, Cooper’s life has taken him from the cotton fields of the Deep South to the halls of Congress, from military intelligence in Europe to his longstanding spiritual home in Jerusalem. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post and other national publications, and he is the author of several books, including The Children of My Knee, Seduction of the Veil, and The Watcher. His work combines historical truth, emotional clarity, and spiritual inquiry, offering readers a rare blend of lived testimony and literary craft. Cooper divides his time between Naples, Italy, and Jerusalem, returning to Israel more than fifty times in search of quiet, healing, and inspiration. His forthcoming projects include screenplays, historical series, and new essays on memory, faith, and the echoes of survival.
