Dr. Khalid Akil White is an award-winning educator, writer, and filmmaker. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Morehouse College, a Master of Education from Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and a Doctorate degree in Education from UC Davis and Sonoma State University. Currently, Dr. Khalid is an African American Studies Professor at San Jose City College. A career educator, Khalid began educating California’s youth and young adults in 2004. As an entrepreneur, Khalid owns the multi-media company Blkmpwr (Black Empower), LLC. www.blkmpwr.com The company focuses on education, empowerment, and equity.
