From Kalamazoo Michigan circa 1977 Daniel Spero is a novelist, scriptwriter, freelancer and groove drummer. He’s published eight books: Fall 98, Chicago, The Greek Tragedy, Hun King the Ice-Head, White Horse, A Life in Concert, A Life in Saigon and Wait For Juan. He has more than ten film scripts and two TV show pilots to his credit, including writing the first season of the gritty dramatic series, Expat. Daniel’s also amassed an extensive portfolio of journalistic pieces writing for newspapers, magazines and websites; and he was the drummer for Altiro, Chicagoland’s premiere soul-jazz trio of 2004 and 2005. Daniel currently lives on the island of Ko Lanta in the Andaman Sea off the west coast of Thailand where he writes and raises his daughter Maya.
