I grew up in a family full of passion, religion, and rules. I have faced less than ideal community surroundings but have managed to keep my mind focused throughout my child & adulthood. I finished high school in Dayton, Ohio after which I attended Miami University in Ohio, two years, transferring to Franklin University to finish my four-year degree. (BA) I have always enjoyed reading and listening to books, both fiction and nonfiction. I didn’t know that writing would be among my other passions like business, cosmetology, or holistic wellness until I finished my debut book. (2021, All The Things That Nobody Told Me) Now that I’ve finished my second, third, (2025) and fourth manuscript, first fiction, “The Neighborhood”, I’m sure I’ve caught the writing bug. I’m already itching to pick the pen back up. I hope to reach my goal of not only impacting people in a positive way with my stories, but make a living doing so. I was able to dream of what it must be like from several perspectives to conjure up this quick and easy fictional story. (The Neighborhood) This allowed me to be creative in my story telling and I hope audiences will enjoy it. I’ve never minded dancing to the beat of my own drum or taking the less popular road. I finally understand that I’m meant to stand out, not blend in. I feel confident not rocking the latest fashions or doing what everyone else is, but holding true to what makes me feel at my best.
