Chad Brown is a philosopher with focuses in ontology, teleology, epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, economics, and politics. He is currently pursuing his PhD in philosophy at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His primary goal is to build a system of philosophy which he calls a "complete philosophy," which provides a logical thread of inferences from metaphysics to ethics to ultimately politics. Chad's interest in economics led him to Bitcoin in mid-2011, resulting in his becoming an early Bitcoin investor. His new book "Bitcoin Badass: Your Private Keys to Bitcoin's Value" describes his Bitcoin journey as well as his philosophical understanding of where Bitcoin's value comes from, whether Bitcoin is a viable money, and what Bitcoin ultimately means for society and the world at large. Upcoming books include Chad's PhD dissertation on the topic of the Simulation Hypothesis as a metaphysical model for the foundations of reality, Panarachism as an alternative meta-political theory for the third millennium, and a more advanced analysis of Bitcoin and digital economics for the information age.
