Alexis Bonavitacola is an artist and the author of Holding On After Goodbye: A Memoir of Sibling Loss, Carrying Grief, and What Endures. She holds a PhD in education and taught art online for more than a decade to thousands of students worldwide. After her brother’s sudden death, she shifted her creative practice to writing. Her work explores the language of grief, presence after loss, and the ways love endures through story. She lives near Philadelphia and is developing Mourning Pages: Writing in Grief for Non-Writers.
